National Coming Out Day

October 11

Commemorating the anniversary of the 1987 National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, the first observed National Coming Out Day in 1988 served as a reminder that one of the most basic forms of activism is the power of coming out and living life authentically.

Transgender Day of Remembrance

November 20

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.

Student PRIDE Week

April

Pride Week will host a variety of educational and social events to recognize and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. The MOSAIC and LGBTQ+ Resource Center have partnered with on- and off-campus groups to provide opportunities for engagement and participation. 

Annual Student Drag Show

April

Come out and enjoy a free night full of queens, kings, and fabulous things! Catered mocktails will be available throughout the night. Various LGBTQ+ organizations will table and be featured throughout the show. Hosted in partnership with Student Life for ROAR Daze. 

PRIDE Parade

June

The Division of Inclusive Culture & Belonging hosts the UCCS PRIDE Celebration and organizes UCCS involvement with the Pikes Peak PRIDE Parade in June. This event celebrates the UCCS LGBTQ+ community and provides a space to create joy and connection for all.
